Texas Memorial Service for Mark A Williams June 8th.

Texas Memorial Service

For those of you who attended the funeral in Hong Kong, thank you. It was a beautiful service, with a great message, and gorgeous music- something my Dad would have wanted.

If you can make it to Texas, we'd love to have you join us for his memorial service here.

The following are the details for his service in the States. I know there will be concerts, and what not as well around the country- and around the world, so stay tuned!

Please join us for Mark's memorial service to be held on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 2PM. St.Andrew Presbyterian Church, 8231 Callaghan Road, San Antonio, Texas 78230. There will be a reception to follow in the church.

Like Mark's  Hong Kong service, we are asking that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mark A Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Colburn School, 200 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA

St.Andrew church is where we went as children, and where Dad was the choral director for several years. There are many people there who still know our family, and we feel blessed that we can celebrate his life at this church. Colburn School is one of many schools where Dad taught, it is a lovely, well respected school in LA and we are happy that they have set up a scholarship fund in our Dad's name!

Blessings,
Cathy

I am working on a website for our business, Musika Lingua. Keep an eye out for "www.musikalingua.com".  It will be a more professional site than this blog and will include information about the company, and Dad's publications; including any performances that will include his work, etc..

Dad and I always meant to set it up, there was just never enough time.

Viva Musica!

Dear friends in LA, this just in from the director of the children's choir at Colburn School (where my Dad worked for many years): There will be a concert on Saturday, May 18 in Zipper Hall at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. It is a free community performance, no tickets are required! There will be two shows on that day, at 1:30PM and 3:30PM. This spring concert will be dedicated to my Dad's memory, and the Children's Choir will perform his "The Road Not Taken", as well as selections from Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater". As you may know, the school has started a memorial scholarship in his memory.
